Portal Clocks SIHH: New Panerai Radiomir Chronograph models for 2014
Italian brand Panerai this year is moving in a different direction, orjentirajuči on chronograph models inspired by lessons croakies from its earlier history. Following the model of the Mare Nostrum 1943rd years, presented three models completely new design in three noble materials: red and white gold and platinum. Details on the new Radiomir models can be found below.
Based on the cushion enclosures with classic acceptances belt (not wired acceptances croakies we are used to in the Radiomir models) and without some kind Luminor trademark - patented protection for the crown, the new Radiomir 1940 watches line represents the transition between the old and the new Radiomir 1950 Luminor models. With 45mm, Radiomir Chronograph standing right in the middle of the Radiomir offerings, croakies which range from 42 to 47mm. All three versions are mechanically identical. Mechanisms are Panerai OP XXV calibers, based on column-wheel chronograph Minerva 13-22 with 55 hours of power reserve. Although Panerai bothered with decorating mechanism, as is visible through the rear cover, they could still put up a decoration on a slightly higher level, clear if we consider that the price of looking for new models.
Yes obvious difference would not remain solely in the choice of material casing, Panerai bothered croakies about the small details on the dial. That model Oro Rosso PAM 519 (red gold) is combined brown leather strap and chocolate dials combined Arabic and Roman numerals (more commonly known as "California" dial).
PAM518 platinum (platinum) version of Dial ivory and patinastih indicators, reminiscent of the old models for over 50 years. A small detail that stands out on the dial is blue and a small central "3h" hands, as well as the already mentioned Mare Nostrum models. Severe Panerai lovers will most certainly fond Oro Blanco PAM 520 (white gold). Not only is the contrast between the gold casing and black dial looks great, but the dial was made in popular sandwich construction croakies to give a 3D effect to the indicators.
Panerai Radiomir Chronograph 1940 is limited to only 50 copies of platinum and 100 copies of the white and red gold. Price platinum PAM 518 will be around 60,000, while the gold models cost 45,000 (PAM519) or 47,000 (PAM520).
