While my husband and I through the south of Spain step and day by day, kilometer by kilometer, the simple rhythm of the Camino experience, I realize that life is really a journey. There is a beginning and there is an end. Ever since I can remember, books were part of my life. I remember the fairy tales I heard as a child and read it all the Saartjie and Trompie books in our local library was the Maas Town series we devoured. I have a clear memory of the day when I was twelve years old, trembling with excitement, my first book was to take out the adult section. Books fascinate me, teach me, entertain me and keep me more or less to my senses.

I remember so well the journey ... the smell of mint along the way, the bells around the sheep

To 520 km walk is no joke. Believe me. Maybe it would have been easier if one is not in 20 days trying to do it. Or, maybe your step lighter now if you do everything you need to travel on your back should wear. This would ensure better gone than the road just seemed to remain. But, then one day you realize how quiet it is. Suddenly it's just you and the earth under your feet. Though the way your feet hurt, you feel the life seeping through your veins and the birds twittering deafening a forgotten pajar piece stays in your came loose.
A Pilgrim learn not to worry about tomorrow, but simply the piece step ahead of you. And in this piece that you have to walk, you can not help with awe looking at the world around you. How did we ever start thinking that we, too, that creature is the boss, that we have a right to be with nature to do what we want? Why two heads? Ie trip and Pelgrimsrit. Why not just a head like Pilgrim pilgrimage or traveling or something like that? And who is the pilgrim? Perhaps the pilgrim or traveler somewhere in the words (preferably at the end) for the reader "his / her identititeit" show. Otherwise he / she / it's just a unseen ship's light in the dark night kind of thing.

I'm glad I could share your space tonight: not imtieme space of your house, the more space of your undivided time. Every time we cross paths is the way of our ongeveinste visit me a miracle. In our Reformed tradition is somewhat strange pilgrimage. This is something we hear, but we do not really know. We often hear of Muslims on a pilgrimage to Mecca gone, but Christians can also be pilgrims?
